Important - updated timeline

We are running behind schedule. The cause of the delay was our decision to redesign the inside of the handle to better hold the knife and saw. As this is part of the aluminum shaft, a critical component, we had to get more samples made and test those extensively. We have now received the updated test version and have moved the shaft into mass production. Besides the updated shaft, most parts have arrived and we are conducting QC inspections for the next month. Our new target is to do final assembly in January and get all orders out by the end of the month. Please accept our apologies for this delay but we want to ensure you get the best possible product. Beyond Production

We knew the transition from design to production would be a good challenge but one of the more interesting aspects is how one change then affects almost every other aspect of the process. Our natural starting point was to develop deep relationships with manufacturer to get their best advice and guidance; this led to recommendations that meant updating the drawings to get the best results and iterations to sharpen production samples; which then impacts QC process design.... Don’t get us wrong, we havingwonderful time delivering the best product we can!
The motivation for this comes from the deepest passion – to design and develop products and solutions that empower people to thrive in the great outdoors.
All is going well and we are still on track. And while we are on discussion about being on track, 16% of you haven’t completed your surveys. We need these from you to be able to deliver the product to your door. If you need a resend then please reach out to us at [email protected] Till next time

September Update

We sent out the survey last week. Most of you have completed the survey but there are a few of you who still need to get us the details that will allow us to get the Combar to you. Please check your inboxes and if you can’t find the email let us know. Other than that we are still tracking to the target date with all of the Combar components already in production. Once the assembly starts we will let you know. The team are working on getting you some pictures soon so we will post them once they are ready.

Apologies that it has been so long since the last update but we are in the critical final phases of getting the Combar to market. All production work on every single component of the Combar is almost complete. We have all the metal parts – from the titanium spade to the smallest stainless steel fastener – ready to go. The glass filled nylon molds are being tested and are close to final. Now it is time to lock down the final details in the journey to get the Combar into your hands. The focus at this point is on the assembly line and quality control. Given our lifetime warranty, we want to ensure that every Combar being shipped meets the standards we have set. So, all in all, this is good news as we are on target from a time perspective. We will post another update in around 4 weeks. Before that, we will be sending out our survey so keep a look out for an update about that.
